Supporting Students With ADHD
Montessori education is highly effective for many students with ADHD when there is alignment between home and school. Our approach requires consistency in expectations, follow-through with agreed-upon supports, and respect for developmental boundaries. Families enrolling a student with ADHD at LMS agree to actively collaborate, reinforce structure at home, and support the school’s professional recommendations.
Families enrolling a student with ADHD at LMS commit to:
- Participating in regular communication and progress meetings
- Supporting consistent routines and sleep hygiene at home
- The implementation of natural and logical consequences
- Reinforcing agreed-upon expectations and natural consequences
- Seeking outside professional support when recommended
- Maintaining respect for Montessori principles and classroom structure
When consistent partnership cannot be maintained, LMS may determine that the environment is no longer the best fit for the student.
